Review from 76561197961017729Some kinda archery game (which wasn't such an annoying drop in 2016) that has an outdoor environment I really enjoyed. Kill them burds.
Review from 76561198036301853It was fun.
Review from 76561198185736709(Played on Oculus Rift + Touch with Windows 10) Simple, but great archery game. Controls are good, graphics are good, gameplay is very simple, but for a free game it is definately worth a try. Downloaded to replace the archery game in The Lab, and for ~500 MB, it's a fun time.

Review from 76561198288058950Hey, this is pretty fun! Head aiming is quite intuitive, and the world feels vivid and alive. With it being free and all, it's worth a visit! But okay, the game is a bit sparse, content-wise. Also, you can only use a right hand bow, which is a disadvantage to the 33 % of the players who happens to be left eye dominant. Or is this even important? As much as the game sucked me in, I'm unsure how much I'm able to develope actual skills here, or if it is more down to luck and the game 'helping' me a tiny bit. Still, consider me sufficiently entertained!

Review from 76561198003818180The game is not bad, an archery simulator, something simple but free and with achievements.
Review from 76561198011939858A really enjoyable archery sim. One of my favourite VR titles. Arcade type, no 'levels' no progression. Room scale, no teleportation or walking. Gets achy on your arms when firing in quick succession for several minutes.
Review from 76561197998455758Great VR shooter. Unfortunately, hand-aiming shooting just doesn't work. Shooting with the eye-aiming works fine, but unfortunately when choosing the main eye, the bow will automatically be in another hand. In real life, I shoot with my right hand and left eye, so I could not play normally. However, the game is very beautiful and addictive.
Review from 76561198077242222I had been shooting with a bow in real life. It wasn't one of those modern sports bows but a realistic one made of wood and a string. So I can safely say that the realistic feel in this basically tech demo is non-existent. Arrows don't go where you aim and the headset itself gets in the way when aiming. Very underwhelming experience and I am disappointed because it seemed good on the store page and it has positive reviews for a reason I cannot find.
Review from 76561198411002981Are you the kind of person who enjoys relaxation with a side of violence? Then get this free game. The mechanics of the game work well. The gameplay is repetitive, but what did you expect? If you want to get your feet wet in VR archery, give this a download. The graphics are good, and the game is refreshingly relaxing. I recommend you give it a shot.
Review from 76561198105834629Spent 30 mins acting like all OP archer character in movies and anime, pretty satisfying.

Review from 76561198035996581Everytime I launch from Steam VR Home, it says that "Plenty: Skyhearth does not support your currently active headset" (which is the Vive)! However, if I launch it from the desktop shortcut, it does run, and I can play the game. Whenever I "quit", it kills my VR Compositer, and I have to shutdown and restart my entire VR rig. For the short amount of time that I did play, it was quite fun. Not bad for a free game. Will reinstall it after they work the bugs out, but it's a good start.
Review from 76561198041161688Visually nice, a tip for anyone trying it - turn your bow sideways with the controller or you'll never be able to hit the upper targets unless you have a massive ceiling height or you're short. A bit hard to get the hang of but a nice archery game.
Review from 76561197982295752Plenty: Skyhearth is a free VR bow and arrow shooter, where you are killing moving birds on a timer. It worked on my system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Very challenging targets. Has a tutorial. Has Steam acheivements. Review from 76561198055676270Great because it was free. Arrow mechanics and knotching, grabbing arrows behind your back is nicely done. Only issue I had was I was floating off the ground about 4 feet all the time.
Review from 76561198005086553Без русского.
Review from 76561198055359056Such a simple idea, but because it's VR, it's so much more challenging. I can only go 2 rounds before my arms get tired, but I enjoy it every time.
Review from 76561197968880403Neat but short experience
Review from 76561197980479660Another archery shooting demo. Only one thing to do and not very good. Gigant hitboxes that you feel like cheating. Only good for the first minutes.
Review from 76561198066590240You can aim with your head in this game. The joke is that I think the leaderboards must be filled with people who did gaze aiming. I think the developer should put a kibosh on that. However, the hand method, you know, reaching behind your back for an arrow, then jocking the arrow to your bow by pressing trigger and then pulling back and letting go of trigger to fire. That method is satisfying. It's very difficult to hit birds that fly far away in a distance. Not sure the physics are correct, but it's not as easy as aiming on target, you have to estimate where the bird will be and where your arrow will land. Your arms will get tired. It's free and fun enough to recommend. Rating 6/10 fun in small batches as a timekiller mostly
Review from 76561197990720202A very simple game, but trying to beat your high-score by shooting birds is addictive.
Review from 76561198012186756It's a neat archery simulator presented in a "hunt birds" minigame. You stand in place and shoot at the various birds with your bow and arrow. It's not particularly deep, but a good first step into VR for free!
Review from 76561197986548802Recommended! [+] Great visuals – in particular since it is fluid. [-] Single location. [=] Pleasant experience but gets repetitive relatively quickly (see comment above). [=] Keep knocking controllers together from time to time if you get into it too much (but brain adjusts). [=] Should have allowed user to use both triggers or allowed them to select the buttons to use. [=] While realistic, the proposed shooting mechanics are missing a more convenient one (the one from “The Lab” would be nice to try by example). Note: I only played a bit so far as I had a bit of frustration with the controls to begin with but after investing myself a bit it felt more and more natural. Other thoughts: - Added to game to show and play again list! - Want to try shooting with a shotgun in the same environment. - While at it - since Santa is in the game and we can suspend your disbelief - I want the developer to add a machinegun and a laser gun as well!
Review from 76561197969443332Wow, I really like this gameplay! It feels really gratifying sniping a tiny bird in the distance. Overall, great quick arrow shooter. I'd pay to have more levels or some different environments / competitions. It's just the same board over again. But great work here!
Review from 76561198027362214Needs a 'quack' or 'squawk' sound effect instead of the dull wooden sound at present for more immersion. Other than that, not bad for a quick game. Looking forward to more 'evolving gameplay'.
Review from 76561198096412999My video review: https://youtu.be/IBcbFX9zi00 This is probably the most beautiful free game I've played in VR. Serene, polished, and fun. You owe it to yourself to try this.
Review from 76561198257588073O jogo é ótimo. SHOW, TUDO DE BOM.
Review from 76561197965981411Take all the archery games and this is the same thing with a Skyrim setting and birds as your targets. Very tranquil. Apart from murdering little birdies for pleasure.
Review from 76561198135438892Very nice game
Review from 76561198334272383This is a great game, peaceful, beautiful and good work out! I like putting a podcast on and then hunting away with the bow anr arrow, really enjoy it and looking forward to more.
Review from 76561198095917598Shooty birdy game, PETA no likey What nice little free bow and arrow game for the Vive. Sure, it's nothing big, it might not be anything special. But it actually is a lot of fun and better than other paid bow and arrow games. What is the game about? You stand on one spot - so no locomotion - and you shoot in a very nice looking VR forest environment with your bow on birds and ducks. Sounds easy, but as the birds and the dugs fly fast or high you have to time rightly your arrow shots. If you get them, it is a very satisfying feeling. What I like * good bow and arrow feeling with the Vive controllers (did not try it with the Oculus) * nice graphics and good performance * shooting on real animals instead of goblins, etc. * leaderboard * Steam achievements Where I see room for improvement * more content (levels, birds, other animals) * a bit better bow handling * more different modes Fun game for free, for the whole family and especial for hunter friends "Weidmannsheil"! Also a good way to work out your left or right beer-lifting arm, because you mostly aim in the sky so you have to hold your controller a bit higher. Recommended to give it chance if you own a Vive. Its fun. The graphics and controls are tight, even if its just a simple arcade style shooter. Head aiming on the rift was more entertaining than I thought it would be. Can't wait to see where this project goes. In my one week of diving into VR this is the game I've played the most. The simulation of bow and arrow on HTC with the motion controllers is pretty spot on for me. It is definitely a game of skill requiring fast paced aiming, quick calculation of distance and drop and a good dose of luck. The further gamification of a high score makes repeated playthroughs rewarding and adictive. Understandably for a game under continued development (I hope!) the content is light. I can see eventually that I will tire both figuratively and literally of playing the same scene with the same 4 varieties of birds. There is a ton of potential to build on here with other game modes and some form of progression through them. I sincerely hope the developers continue to add content for this wonderful simulation. I really wish there was a a neutral recommendation for games like this. You can't beat free and The Lab is a better free experience, but this one does have its own differences worth checking out if you don't want to drop any coin. QuiVR is a better paid experience, however, and makes this game pretty much not worth playing if you have already purchased it. This one is indeed unique and can be challenging, but it's not very good with the Vive and is rather buggy. I started off floating beside a log, had to select things by looking at it like a silly Oculus, and the instructions lied to me about how to grab an arrow (no, it's not intuitive and simple as described in the "about this game" section). It also wasn't very clear what the options meant in order to choose the Vive-oriented controllers. Once I figured out how to even play, it was an okay experience but it didn't leave me feeling satisfied or challenged like QuiVR and The Lab do. The only goal, as far as I can tell, is shoot a lot of crap in a time window. So the experience doesn't change and outdoing yourself is kinda boring. Nice scenery though and I love the realism. Has potential with updates, but for now I'd say it's only a good intro to a free non-The Lab version of archery. If you can afford it though, QuiVR is my current go-to archery game.

Review from 76561198156692630nice game ...i love it
Review from 76561197974765747The game is about shooting birds with a bow. I guess the more you shoot the higher your score. It is not a bad experience nor is it a great experience. If you like shooting birds with a bow then I guess you will like it. My only gripe with it was grabbing the arrows from behind the back with the grips rather than just using the trigger. My wrist and hands were feeling pain after a while. Us older folks have pains and you will too after 40. I wil recommend tha game as it is free. If I had to pay for this I would have given it a thumbs down for lack of content as for me it gets boring shooting birds over and over. I dislike wave shooters and arcade VR games that involve repatative play to get higher scores. After many months of having VR I want something more deep, and fun and interactive. Standing still in my space is not really fun anymore. Enough ranting. Get this and try it. The graphics are nice and it is a good game to ease some stress after a long day's work. :-) Update: I was not aware of shotgun mode so the next video I do I will have that game play up. Thanks and enjoy. Video here below of bow shooting after it processes: https://youtu.be/8ap_X4lIjs8
Review from 76561198016844249A very fun and simple game you can pick up and play at your leasure for free. The shotgun adds a nice twist, after a frustrating bow hunt just use the shotgun for some payback :) Hopefully touch support coming on release
