Review from 76561199066833624Played on Oculus Quest. But even if you keep the bow steady, every arrow hits a different spot. In other games, bows behave more consistently.
Review from 76561198030853115Очень понравилось.
Review from 76561198112819846This is an outdated wave-based VR tower defense game with outdated graphics and excessively high difficulty. You will not find anyone on Youtube who has completed every level in this game. Most likely because it would take an enormous amount of effort and time after constantly failing levels over and over. I could never make it past level three. The first two levels are ok. But starting with level three, the game gets just stupid hard with an insane amount of enemies. They are also very tiny targets and difficult to hit. You can hire soldiers to fight for you on the ground. However, they are always quickly defeated starting in level three. Every level also looks the same, just with more enemies and more waves. Overall, this is a highly frustrating VR experience in my opinion and I therefore cannot recommend it.
Review from 76561198273971182Eventhough I can't aim well It's such a fun experience. Works well with G2.
Review from 76561198204918404+ Good VR bow game. Not the best, but good. - The arrow setting is a little bit off: you have to bend your hand to set the arrow to the bow. - Also you can't change hands after you accidentally chose wrong. - To get to the next wave, you have to shoot the arrow extra far, instead of the possibility to just push a button. * Could also have multi-player online choice.
Review from 76561197992112464Seems pretty awesome... Though have had some issues with tracking. Pretty sure it's a hardware issue on my end though.
Review from 76561198194456525I've played for almost 5 hours now. After 5 hours I've only managed to complete the first 3 or 4 battles. There are about 12 in total I believe. My remarks:

Satisfying progression, that said, progression is DIFFICULT.
Sadly content is locked by progression and I'm pretty sure I'll get bored of this game before having been able to enjoy it all. Maps, new soldiers, special arrows, all are locked.
You can replay old levels. So if you don't feel like stressing out because of playing at your maximum the entire time you can replay an old level. If you're at battle 3 then battle 1 is basically target practise.
Swapping between arrow types is much too time consuming. When you're being overrun you can't just take the time to change arrows, that should be a buttong press to swap between arrows, not a select menu.
For me this was 2 euros. It's worth 5 imo.
Overall this is a nice game I'm glad I have bought. :) I imagine my playtime will go up to 10 hours before quitting it.
Review from 765611979719055747/10 Fun and challenging game to a point. The difficulty level is impossibly hard in the later levels, which spoils things somewhat. Imagine being expected to shoot small moving man sized things at 1km distance, achieve 50% accuracy and shoot about 1 arrow a second. The balancing doesn't really seem to have been thought through. Purchased units (towers) should have regenerated at the start of each wave. I do recommend this though.
Review from 76561197962336567I like the game, wave game on a castle wall with a bow and ability to buy different arrow types and troops. But its very frustrating that the troops die so easily and there is no way to revive them. You just buy more troops at level 1. The troops level with experience but then you have a top level troop die and start over? There is no progression in the level that way. Just dumb chance that they would live. It would be a much better experience if I could pay for revivial of dead troops so that my troops would progress in the level with me instead of all the previous money spent on troops getting thrown away
Review from 76561198066590240
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I bought this in the Steam VR Spring Sale for $2.79 USD. It's not the best bow & arrow VR game, but it's pretty solid and it would be in my top 10 for bow & arrow titles (although probably #9 or #10 on that list). There's just so many good ones, this is a subgenre that is packed with quality titles. The bow feels good. With just a little practice you can snipe things off at a distance and you get bonus gold for being accurate and for headshots. The only odd thing is that the arrow goes on the inside of the bow (right-handed perspective). So this is a dark fantasy themed tower defense bow & arrow game. You can teleport all around an area at the top of the tower. You are a female hooded ranger/ queen in disguise and apparently the last defense. There's many types of enemies that try to invade the castle, from wolves to spiders to skeleton warriors, to orcs, to trolls, to flying demons, to shaman. Enemies can attack you and you will have to dodge projectiles. You can upgrade your defenses by hiring warriors. You then need to protect from damage or they'll die and it'll be gold lost. You can also upgrade to frost arrows and all kind of other magical arrows. You can also spend coin to repair the castle walls. I did not get far into the game. I got to Stage 4. Each stage has 4 waves that you have to beat before the next one unlocks. The good thing is that your progress is saved. You have 6 stages to reach the end. I believe there are 2 different environments with 6 stages each. At the end, you get to see where you are on the global leaderboards. Rate 6.5/10. Really solid. Recommended if you're looking for a fantasy themed bow & arrow game. Would have been great with multiplayer.
Review from 76561197972090300First of all, there's a demo. I hope it's up to date with the current build of this, cos this is pretty dagnabbity good, in archery shooting 'AND'... yes, 'AND'... Tower Defence. I was initially impressed with the archery mechanics, alone, but teleporting around the battlements gets you to a table that has Soldiers for Hire!... and other stuff. The soldiers get amongst it, protecting the gate (you can unlock more units, but haven't played enough yet. I'm presuming archers and mage units, I'll update review)... anyway, the soldiers protecting the gate can be promoted, "IF", they stay alive, which really adds to the emotion of 'keeping' them alive, giving you a rush, trying to get a clean shot at creatures they're fighting. It's really, well done. Oh yeah, there's another bonus gameplay mechanic, Don't forget to duck :)
Review from 76561198027647796Review URL - http://www.htcvivegamereviews.com/all-review-list/hail-queen-queendoom-review/ Let's Play URL (first 2 battles) - http://www.htcvivegamereviews.com/all-video-list/queendoom-stages-1-2-hold-line/ 10/10 “The war in Queendoom has begun! Are you going to let them win?” – No, I’m not. Queendoom is a “wave shooter” but, not really. You actually are set on top of a castle rampart with a bow firing at enemies as they approach from afar. Unlike a gun, your arrow flies based upon how you angle your bow and how far back you pull the string – in essence, a skill or practice which could be more akin to being good at Guitar Hero than a reflex gun shooter. Even after playing for a bit, if I take a break – I need to “warm up” to make those shots – that is how I define a skill based game. If you can’t make the shots, you lose – its just that simple and the game has no mercy about that. The good is – the game is fair from what I have seen. You can handle situations if you remain calm and utilize the locomotion options to move away from projectiles while firing down hell upon your enemies. The variety of monsters you see are very impressive – things from wolves to huge octopus type creatures and what I would assume are trolls. In Queendoom, if that isn’t even enough – you can summon allies to help you. They actually run around and fight with convincing AI as the enemies try to kite your warriors – this is far beyond what I expected. To reward your progress, you also unlock more parts of the shop which you can access in between waves on the level. At the end of the 2nd battle – I have some new items and allies that I did not have before. There is a lot of strategy involved with playing Queendoom. You are rewarded for accuracy as it makes sense – arrows “take resources” theoretically so firing them away like a blind bat won’t give any rewards. If you manage to have a decent accuracy(rewards begin at 50%) or can score headshots, you’ll be rewarded bonus gold at the end of a round. Moving around the castle rampart is very fun. In my time, I move slowly right to left as the enemies get closer to the door. There is a fairly close spot to the door that you can usually shoot the closest enemies but will allow enemies to approach from afar while you must be accurate. It can get a little hectic as enemies begin firing at you, firing at the wall, firing at your allies – there is truly a lot going on. My only gripe I encountered is the store menu is really strange. I had to hover my hand ABOVE the “buy” button to make a purchase despite it being lit up while hovering lower. This is something to be aware of and hopefully be patched out. Queendoom is $9.99 currently as this review is written on Steam. It is probably my favorite wave shooter(I’m not as big of a fun of the sci/fi ones that are popular) and the allies system sold that for me. It is so cool to watch your warriors fight below as you fire arrows to support them – it is truly interesting and immersive. For the price, I can say its one of the best games <$10 if not the best when it comes to action. If you can get used to the bow (it IS tricky and even frustrating), you'll be rewarded for your efforts in both in-game progress and real life satisfaction.
Review from 76561198093061896Room for improvement but overall it's a solid title, and currently on sale! It would be cool if we could keep some of our gold from previous stages in the campaign, so we can make purchases early on. You earn gold after a stage is complete, but other than going towards a leaderboard, I'm not sure what the use for it is currently since Wave 1 of the next stage starts you out with 0 gold again. Really dig the hit detection so you know exactly where you hit the enemy, soundtrack is good, graphics are pretty solid. A horde or survival type mode would be cool as well, along with bow upgrades/customizable options.
Review from 76561197987170676Cool game, it is my most prefered bow game. It would be even better if it had mp, but the gameplay and the nice enemys are makeing it up for the mp lag. Hope there will be more updates or DLC in the future.
Review from 76561197996965987This game is intense! It's quite challenging, but very intuitive as well. I really like the game, but I look forward to a bit more diversity in the lanscape. I'm only on level 2 so far, but I'm really enjoying it and look forward to more. The graphics are nice, but a bit gloomy (which I guess is on purpose). It's really diffilcut to get enough money to build your army, but I think more practice will make this easier.
Review from 76561198016629460 I would recommend this over Quiver but I didnt have to pay for this. Special arrows are pretty fun to use and I love the fact that you can recruit soldiers.
Review from 76561197979234085Really like this game. Its really up there with the best of wave based bow games. It even has some aces up its sleeves with the tower defence elements of hiring guards etc. Im only about an hour in but loving it so far. Its quite challenging and takes some getting used to to get the aim needed to progress but highly enjoyable. I should also say that i was lucky enough to win this game free of charge but definitely recommend buying it
Review from 76561198043158093I believe this archery defense game has the most content in the genre currently, , with recruitable troops, a few arrow types and a decent amount of enemies. The enemies are a little farther away then most the other ones, so it takes some getting use to. Overall it's a pretty solid game atm.
Review from 76561198240904876Very impressed so far!! Definitely my favourite vr archery game keep it up guys :)
http://www.83830.com/game/201611/195640056.shtml
Review from 76561198003316479If you enjoy wave based shooting gallery bow and arrow vr games, this is one of many to choose from. After about 6 hours I'm just now on the 5th stage of the first of two Queendoms populated with only slim, light-skinned women. It may take you more or less time to get where I am depending on your ability to aim well, prioritize targets, dodge or repel incoming enemy missile attacks, and make good hiring and purchase decisions between onslaught waves, Each Queendom has 5 stages, and each stage has a minimum of four waves to complete. Scoring headshots regularly, and having high accuracy, will increase the amount of gold you earn each wave. There are a plethora of enemy models with unique attack types, movement, and special effects. I definitely recommend this game in its current state if you're looking for a bow and arrow shooting gallery vr game with a variety of enemy models and attacks, the use of roomscale for dodging or hiding behind walls to defend from incoming attacks, a campaign with additionial stages that unlock as you complete them, and a minigame which allows you to defend your castle with hirelings.
Review from 76561198021322982This game has been an absolute blast! I see moba style games coming in the near future thanks to ideas that this game has implemented to semi-similar games of the overall same genre. Wave based, tower defense, upgradable weaponry, decent teleport system, and downright pretty. Oh yeah, did I mention it's hard? (She told me so, but I had already been aware) I've been enjoying trying to figure out the best way to spend my loot in order to die in the most lengthy possible way. I've gotten to the centaur-type boss on level 6 once. I hope very much that this game gets a multiplayer mode with co-op and head to head, I want the bowstring to be closer to my body... maybe further away from the bow-hand controller is a better way to put it. I feel like I'm constantly trying to destroy endless waves of demons and constantly being trolled by an invisible, and slightly imaginary, bowstring. That bowstring is rude. There is a bit of blur at a distance but for the most part I get it. I really think that this is due to our machines not setup correctly within control panel and the likes. I've fiddled with more settings and steamvr resets than I'd like to remember. I am confused why fps can say it's hanging out at a balmy 60ish on ultra settings yet it doesn't appear to be the case. Maybe, this is merely it's interpretation of repro+fps or something else above my head (I'd put money down on the latter). TLDR; thanks guys! It's been super fun so far and I cant wait to see where this takes you guys. Fellow Vive owners, buy this game, give valuable info about said game so we can further these sorts of projects, get ready to grab life by your ankles because this is a very fun but challenging game that will not hold your hand or call you back.
